There are many interesting things when talking about white blood cells and of course before discussing further according to the knowledge we have I invite @zulbahri, @f2i5 and mini80 to take part in the challenge “SEC S20W6 || Glóbulos Blancos - Modulo 6”.

Define Glóbulos Blancos

White blood cells or often called leukocytes are a very important part of our blood cells that are produced in the bone marrow which has a function that cannot be separated from the body's immune system. The point is with the presence of white blood cells, which are tasked with preventing everything that arises from the attack of viruses, bacteria and diseases.

Many types of white blood cells have their own functions and play a very important role for the body. Among them are:

  • Neutrophils which are a cell that is very much conceived with the task of destroying bacteria that will attack our body.

  • Lymphocytes which have the task of destroying damaged cells due to virus attacks and producing anti-bodies so that the body is maintained from virus attacks.

  • Monocytes: which have the task of securing the body from dead cells and germ attacks that can harm our body.

  • Eosinophils: This is a part that we cannot ignore because its function is to protect the body from parasitic infections attacking our body.

  • Basophils: are cells that protect the body from inflammation by releasing substances that protect against parasitic attacks.

The number of white blood cells contained in the human body depends on a person's age. However, the number of white blood cells in the body is adjusted as a person ages. Any difference in the white blood cell count will affect our health and the consequences of excess or deficiency of cells. And there are causes that make an increase due to infection or inflammation called Leukocytosis, while Leukopenia is caused by a decrease in the content of white blood cells derived from the attack of a viral infection, which affects the place where white blood cells are produced.

The point is that white blood cells have a function to protect the body from virus attacks or in other words infections and create.

From the diagram above we can see that how great the function of white blood cells consisting of small cells. At least that cell has a very good for the body in an effort to create a healthy body. When the balance of white blood cells, the function will be better.

Neutrofilia vs Neutropenia

Neutrophilia and neutropenia are two things related to the content of white blood cells that have a very large number that have different functions between the two.

  • Neutrophilia is caused by an increase in the number of white blood cells above normal, which can cause disorders in the body. It is caused by chronic leukemia, taking excessive drugs, severe stress and even inflammation that gives up our body. Of course, this needs to be our concern, because there are symptoms that arise before Neutrophilia occurs in us. the symptoms that arise due to infection or inflammation.

It is necessary to make a diagnosis if we already feel the symptoms that arise so that we need to take action. Like diligently checking the white blood cell content in our body by noting that this needs action so that the body becomes healthier. Such as preventing inflammation or infection that could occur. Without us knowing what caused the onset of this.

  • Neutropenia:
This is an abnormal condition of the white blood cell content in the body. Which means it is below 1,500 cells per microliter of blood. By paying attention to this, in this case there can be several types of diseases with different categories. Namely low, moderate and severe levels.

This is based on the cause of this occurrence such as the effects of drugs that occur due to chemotherapy or other things that can cause neutropenia to occur. There is also a lack of nutrients for the body, even bone marrow disorders that are responsible for producing white blood cells and due to infection.

By paying attention to symptoms such as wounds that do not heal, fever and infections that occur repeatedly. And of course, a diagnosis needs to be made by regularly checking the white virgin cell content.

To treat this we must take drugs that can increase the content of white blood cells in general. Or there are other things that can be done by paying attention to your auto. The point is we must be wise in dealing with this.

We need to pay attention when these two things happen, we can anticipate them by doing regular white blood cell checks, if there are things that cause these dual things to occur. We should pay attention to both of these things and need to take action so that our bodies remain healthy.

Many cases occur due to the increase or decrease in the content of white blood cells in our body. Such as inflammation, infection and decreased immunity to virus attacks and other things.

Leukemia, this is a blood cancer that often occurs due to excess white blood cell content in the blood which basically has inflammation in the bone marrow resulting in an increase in white blood cells. There are several types of leukemia that basically need to take action such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and even bone marrow transplantation. By paying attention to the symptoms that arise such as fatigue, enlarged spleen and even causeless bleeding that can occur to anyone.

Neutropenia caused by a decrease in neutrophils, which are important for fighting infection, caused by chemotherapy, in which the bone marrow is damaged by the use of drugs. Other things can also occur such as viral infections. And it is necessary to take measures that can stimulate the growth of neutrophils and the use of antibiotics. By paying attention to the symptoms of fever, sores on the lips and even recurrent infections.

HIV/AIDS, which is a symptom of decreased immunity to disease with symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes and even weight loss. To treat it, therapy is needed to increase the number of T cells and antiteroviral continuously.

Leukocytosis is caused by an increase in the number of white blood cells. This is followed by symptoms such as fever, joint pain and even fatigue. And as for the factors that cause bacterial infections, leukemia, can even occur due to stress due to prolonged trauma.

To treat it, it is necessary to take a measure that can be adjusted such as cancer therapy, giving antibiotics and this requires an action to recover from what is suffered.
