My father have 60+ age , His weight lose incrediblely 50 from 120 within in short time period, He lost his hunger almost and mostly time he stay without food for couple of hours , we noticed his bad health condition and immediately doctor suggested for CBD , Report delivered and showed severe iron / RBS deficiency. He is now in treatment. I have seen this contest and in that context, I interested to share my views on that given theme. Hopefully my participation will be considered meaningful too .

Hemolytic Anemias

Hemolytic anemias describe an assortment of conditions characterized by the untimely destruction of red blood cells .The depletion leads to a deficit in the bloodstream. This breakdown may happen within the blood vessels or the spleen and liver.

Hemolytic anemias can be inherited. Sickle cell anemia or Thalassemia typify this. The condition can also be acquired .Autoimmune diseases infections ,Certain medications and mechanical injury to RBCs can lead to hemolytic anemia.

The condition's standard symptoms consist of chronic fatigue. Jaundice is also a common sign along with darker-than-usual urine .Lastly an enlarged spleen can be a telltale symptom.

Typically blood tests are required for a diagnosis .These tests typically show low RBC counts and an increase in bilirubin increased reticulocyte production is also a common sign treatment varies depending on the root cause.

Sickle Cell Anemia

Sickle Cell Anemia is a condition with many challenges .Blood disorder is a correct Term for it. The red blood cells have an abnormal shape. In most cases they are not round. Alternatively The cells may appear Like a sickle or crescent .This shape makes It hard for Blood to flow easily through vessels. This can cause a lot of pain.

Such fragility can Cause blockages .In turn this creates circumstances of severe pain. These are called sickle Cell crises. Blockages also have the potential to cause complications for example ,anemia is a common result. It can also lead to infections and organ damage. Often these effects are long lasting.

Inheritance of this Condition is Autosomal recessive. This means a person must inherit two Sickle Cell genes. This is how the disorder presents itself. The Disorder Mainly affects people with African or Mediterranean descent. Additionally it affects those with Middle Eastern and Indian ancestry. These populations Are most at risk.

Intravascular hemolysis vs. Extravascular hemolysis
Intravascular hemolysis
  • Takes place in vessels that carry blood .
  • Specifically occurs in blood damage to Rbcs can lead to hemolysis .
  • Destruction of red blood cells . It can happen directly in circulation.
  • Mechanical damage is a common reason behind this. Example given is heart valve prostheses .The other common causes include autoimmune disorders. Also Infections e.g. Malaria are culprits.
  • Hemoglobin released into the plasma is a result of the damage. This leads to hemoglobinemia .It also leads to hemoglobinuria.
Extravascular hemolysis
  • Manifests chiefly in spleen liver or lymph nodes.

  • RBCs are phagocytosed. By macrophages they break down outside blood vessels.

  • The most common causes are inherited conditions like Hereditary spherocytosis and sickle cell disease .There's also immune-mediated hemolysis.

  • Hemoglobin gets metabolized to bilirubin. Resulting in jaundice.

Both kinds lead to anemia.. However their signs and diagnostic tests are different. .They differ Based on where RBC destruction happens..

Case of Hemolytic Anemia

Yes, I have heard about this severe case of from my elders , A man whose age is 50+ Diagnosis of Hemolytic anemia brought in him. In this case ,the he presented with fatigue pallor and jaundice .Blood reports of him indicated several things. They Showed decreased amount of red cells. They showed raised bilirubin levels .The blood reports also showed positive Coombs test. This confirmed hemolysis.

For his healthy recovery, Doctor Provided the recommendations Corticosteroids were suggested because the main motive was to curb immune systems attack on red blood cells .Blood transfusion was recommended in severe conditions. Purpose of delivering treatment was to rapidly Restore red blood cells.

Instructions were provided to that patient. Doctors also suggested to avoiding Triggers. Triggers included certain medications and infections .Regular monitoring was scheduled as a follow up for the patient recovery. It would also assess the response to treatment.

I really impressed to read more about Hemolytic Anemia in the context of Health care and quick recovery

After in detail acknowledgement about the Hemolytic Anemia, I just thanks to Allah for blessed healthy life to us and prayer for all who are infected due to this and others diseases and admitted in hospitals for treatments. All the kind wishes for healthy and safe recovery.

In the end, I would like to invite my Steemit fellows @ruthjoe @goodybest @arinaz08 and @nanidi for thier participation. Wishing you good luck too. Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback.
