Hello My Steemians Friends,
As I mentioned before, I managed a Health Food Store for quite some time, and CBD Oil was one of our best seller product, and the most questioned, so I decided to write about the questions customers asked and hopefully, I’ll help some of you guys to understand better this product, which I believe to be a gift from nature and I'm amazed by the benefits.
What is Hemp CBD Oil?
Hemp CBD Oil comes from the Hemp plant that is the prime of the marijuana plant. However, it has no psychedelic or psychoactive effects. Seeds and peduncles are extracted from the Hemp plant to formulate the CBD Oil with the highest degree of purity.
Is HEMP Oil and HEMP CBD Oil the same?
No, they are different. "CBD oil" is produced by extracting a specific compound called cannabidiol (CBD) from the seeds and stems of the Hemp plant. This is turned into products used to calm and relax the body and mind. On the other hand, "Hemp oil" usually refers to Hemp seed oil which is made by a completely different process. Hemp seed oil is only cold pressed oil from the Hemp seed and does not contain cannabinoids.
What are Cannabinoids?
Scientists have identified about 500 phytochemicals in Hemp plants. Many of them, hundreds, in fact, are terpenoids. These are the compounds that give fruits, flowers and herbs many of their desirable scents, flavors and other special properties.
A special subclass of terpenoids are the cannabinoids. There are over 60 of them found in Hemp / Cannabis Sativa, which is the only place where they are found.
This is one of many reasons why Hemp is alone in the plant kingdom. It is literally a treasure trove of unique nutrition.
What is Cannabinoid Synergy?
Each cannabinoid has its own individual properties, which is creating a lot of excitement in the scientific community. In addition to Terpenoids and Cannabinoids, there are many other vitamins, minerals, phytosterols, pigments, proteins, enzymes, essential sugars, antioxidants, polyphenols, flavonoids and essential fatty acids. The oil looks black, but it really is a mix of intense colors.
It is important to know that although isolated cannabinoids have their own characteristic properties, the different compounds have synergistic effects when the whole phytonutrient symphony is consumed together. Synergy means that the combined effect is greater than the sum of the individual parts. Another way to think about this is 1 + 1. You know 1 + 1 = 2. When the Hemp phytonutrients are consumed together, as they naturally occur in the plant, then it's as if 1 + 1 equals 3, 4 or more!
What are Synthetic Cannabinoids?
Hemp's unique health properties have been known to modern science for more than 50 years, so of course, attempts have been made to produce synthetic versions of isolated cannabinoid molecules in an attempt to create pharmaceutical drugs.
As would be expected from all synthetic chemicals, the desired properties are often significantly reduced, while undesirable side effects may be abundant, as confirmed in U.S. Patent No. 6,630,507, "Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectors."
The Endocannabinoid System
All of the great civilizations of history have recorded Hemp as number one on their list of important plants. The ancient Chinese, Indians, Egyptians, Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans revered him as an incomparable source of food and medicine.
In addition to the long list of properties that cannabinoids of hemp possess, modern science has discovered what can be most stimulating.
We are connected to a system of cannabinoid receptors throughout the brain and body. When these receptors are activated, they allow bi-directional communication between body systems, something that science books had taught was impossible.
This system is called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which literally means "the cannabinoid system within the body". By regularly providing our ECS with the nutrients for which it is designed, vital communications can be restored between the body's control centers and all other systems.
Due to the persecution of Hemp in the last 80 years, most of the humans who live today have spent their entire lives without feeding their bodies with these raw materials. You can imagine it as a great orchestra that is playing blindfold. They can’t see the maestro and can’t read the song. Sometimes they get it right, but most of the time it's a mess. Bringing the body back to harmony can be as simple as replacing that lost nutrition.
4000 Year Endocannabinoid System
- There is a place in the body where there are no cannabinoid receptors - the brain stem. The brain stem is the heart and breathing control center. What this means is that it is not possible for cannabinoids to overload these systems and cause them to shut down. That's why, in 4000 years, no one died of consuming Hemp oil.*
Don't hesitate to leave a comment with questions and/or opinions.
Much Love & Steem On,
Dani Denes

Very good read. I to am a believer in CBD. The secret is out and the curing begins for the millions. As time goes on the more research is being done big pharma will get there greedy paws into the mix they will figure out a way to screw it up. The best is grow your own and process your self. Get into a consortium and control it amongst yourselves. There is writtings thousands of years old that are coming out how it's used ,grown and processed. Thanks for your post.
