Blessings of Henna 💕

Yesterday at my friend's baby shower, I had the honor to create this beautiful baby blessing.
Henna has been used for many (thousands of ) years to celebrate new babies and their mothers. If you have had henna before you probably know that the sensation of having it applied is so calming and peaceful, when the baby feels that beautiful feeling from inside the momma's belly they usually kick and move around in a very soft way!

Henna in action!

Henna as a ceremony

Maternity Henna should only be done with 100% homemade henna paste, for example this henna has: Jamila Henna Powder, lemon juice, molasses and lavender essential oil. Also remember only lavender essential oil should be used in henna paste that is going to be applied on an expecting mother, other essential oils that are good for henna such as eucalyptus, tea tree or cajeput are not recommended for pregnancy henna.

The final result
