Pop chaser, one of the very best early hentai OVAs

In 1985, the hentai boom in japan was just beginning with lots of inequal titles. Yet you could already find some gems like this one. The staff behind comprised people from the then not yet formed studio Gainax notably, like Hideaki Anno. As we can see here they were already quite talented and hadn't lost their edge since their first work at Daicon.

The episode starts with a wandering young woman arriving at a (rather) deserted town. The setting and the characters get a little fleshing out before the nudity strike in... Which is some lesbian sex at first. Don't worry though if that isn't your thing, not only there is a lot of joking around, but events hereafter get even weirder and funnier

It's even more striking when you know how the emerging hentai industry was focused almost entirely on low-budget features at the time. Yet that one is on par with the best of what the general anime industry had to offer in the mid-80s
