Sun Tea: brewing method where herbs and tea leaves are steeped in clear glass in direct sunlight, rather than over a contrived heat source.

Soul Shine tea was blended as a midday pick-me-up, specifically on days where you feel your spirit slogging through the mud of monotony.

Recipe:

p = parts, blend to these ratios according to your desired resulting quantity.

  • 4p rose
  • 2p calendula
  • 1p hibiscus
  • 1p elderflower
  • 1p echinacea
  • 1 jujube

Steep in 32oz filtered water (per this ratio) in preferably a glass jar. Leave in direct sunlight from the highest point of the day to the highest point of the following day.

Sunset

Closure to what's been born and bloomed, ushering in a regenerative rest and ultimate reset.

Moonrise

Light to guide our pathway down the river of hidden dreams, awakening our deepest creativity under the covers of gentle slumber.

Sunrise

Ignite the fire in our spirit to make fresh what has been washed clean in the river of our soul's desires.

Moonset

Bid farewell to the draw of mysterious wanderings, for the tangible realm anticipates our contribution.

Best enjoyed over ice, and strong enough to be used as a concentrate.

Do you have a tea challenge in mind for me?

When I blend herbal beverages, I typically work with a theme or circumstance in mind. To date, these have only been personal. If you have a circumstance, reoccurring theme, or simply have an idea in mind to inspire an herbal concoction, please share in the comments! Your inspiration may drive meaningful creation.

HI @ameliabartlett, I just stopped back to let you know your post was one of my favourtie reads and I included it in my PaddlingNature Ramble. You can read what I wrote about your post here

This sounds like a magical brew! Can you possibly make me a recipie to reduce anxiety (a.k.a. mommy stress)? Please no chamomile or related flowers, as my body doesn't like them... everything else should be good. 💖 It was great to see you and @hobotang on PYPT last night! ((hugs))

Coming right up! Allergies to the daisy family flowers are quite common, so I'm happy to oblige. A blend that is anxiety-reducing (but not sleepy-making) that's free of daisies, coming right up!

Thanks, love! :) Funny, when I was in Croatia my ex's grandparents made chamomile tea every day and I drank it, then when we left (with two boxes of the tea in my backpack) my body finally said, "no more, please." And ever since then it's been a no-go. Glad to hear that's common. I'm not alone. ;)

Looks like some good stuff. Thanks for sharing @ameliabartlett

Thank you for always dropping by my posts @robertandrew - drop me a tea request if you feel so inclined!

This sounds like quite the yummy blend of ingredients! I especially liked your idea of Moon Tea! 😊

Thank you @thekittygirl! It would be pretty cool to do a fully moon-focused tea. Brew it beneath a full moon, choose ethereal plants and mystically-inclined powers. I could even put a moonstone in the water during brewing!

Hello @ameliabartlett, thank you for sharing this creative work! We just stopped by to say that you've been upvoted by the @creativecrypto magazine. The Creative Crypto is all about art on the blockchain and learning from creatives like you. Looking forward to crossing paths again soon. Steem on!

Looks yummy... If you forage it yourself is more magical.

Ah yes, it sure would. Unfortunately, the plants around me are almost all at risk of having been sprayed with industrial pesticides or are protected within state-owned lands. Foraging hasn't been easy so far, but I'm not giving up!

Think you could make a tea for when you're feeling uninspired?

Oh yes, something opening, judgment clearing (to make way for rabid brainstorming), with a special focus on increased sensitivity to unconscious communications. Sound like fun? 🤓

Counter the general negativity! A lot of people seem down lately. A um... lack of enthusiasm I guess? Yeah... excitement. ye.s...

Ooh yes, a lack of enthusiasm seems RAMPANT right now. Let's open the heart, relax our expectations, and jumpstart our urge to create, share, and appreciate.

This sounds like an awesome idea and a wonderful way to make delicious tea :) Once I get a hold of a glass jar I am gonna try this!
