A girl is being praised for her heroic act after she died while trying to rescue her twin brother and cousin from drowning.

The three, A'Jada McGuire, Carson Woodall (cousin), and Carlton (twin brother) were among other children who had gone swimming in Georgia Lake.

Carson and Carlton were reportedly caught by a strong current that pulled them deep into the lake. A'Jada noticed they were struggling to swim out, so she quickly jumped in to help them.

A'Jada managed to save her cousin Carson. Unfortunately, she, alongside her twin brother Carlton, couldn’t make it out of the lake. They drowned and died.

A'Jada’s parents, mother Tara and father Isaiah, have described her as her little angel. In their view, she died a hero.
