The One Photo I Never Lost Track of - My Hero, Mr. Rogers

in heroes •  8 years ago  (edited)

As my first post on steemit, I wanted to share the photo that I made sure to keep around. It has followed me through my primary education, college, marriage, divorce, and re-marriage. Once in a while I go on the hunt for it at home just to make sure it's safe and sound and, happily, it always is.

Mr. Fred Rogers was, and continues to be, my hero. He was my friend when I'd sit in front of our console tele for hours watching PBS. It's a complete coincidence that I'm happy to call his big city of Pittsburgh my big city as well. His tributes are all over the place and they make me well up.

And I couldn't think of a better hero to have.

Welcome. It is usually customary to post a picture and bio of yourself. Good luck here on Steemit. ☆☆☆☆☆😎

Thank you! I thought Mr. Rogers deserved to be my first post and I'll introduce myself second.
