Basilca of Bom Jesus ,Old Goa India

On December the 3rd , the feast of Saint Francis is held at Old Goa , India. The Basilica is UNESCO Heritage site and is visited by people from around the world

The exterior of the basilica is made up of pink stones, radiating natural colour

The main alter is built with precious stones and coated with gold, giving it it's golden colour.

The basilica also contains many old paintings and host a museum containing old artifacts . One must note that photos are not allowed inside the museum, and a small fee is charged.

The See Cathedral built in the 17th Century lies next to the Basilica of Bom Jesus and is one of the three building along with the Church of Saint Catherine , Which makes up the trinity of three heritage building one can visit in a single trip
