Hard fork 17 is here. I don't really know what that means.
I have read posts on what it means but am still unsure how it will pan out for the platform in the longer run if things. I am not an overly technical type so the algorithm changes and by default, their further ramifications are lost to me.
It would be fantastic if there are progress updates on usage changes, spam increase issues, bugs etc every few days that are written for the layperson (me). Anyone that puts out a quality report from time to time, let me know and a new follower will follow.
Hopefully though, it will help the community find value as I feel that a lot of it is lost. I don't just mean financial gain, but quality posters. I have read some excellent stuff here that has gone largely unsupported and some much lower quality posts that seem disproportionately supported. This is of course subjective as one man's trash is another's treasure as they say. It may be due to the algorithms for trending posts or perhaps it is just that early members have gathered more followers and it is reflected in the support.
I have also read that some people will hold back posts or not post quality work until the rewards normalise in the next month or so. To those people I wish them well.
Personally however, I have so much content swirling around in my head that if I had to stop for 30 days, I may explode. I won't make the claim that it is all pulitzer prize winning though. Roughly 60 percent is though. The other 40 is probably more like New York Times bestseller list kind of nonsense. Fluff ;)
Seriously though, writing is a great way to develop ideas and order thoughts so for those that are planning on holding back, keep writing each day so that when you do come back to Steemit, you bring your A game.
I named this into the fog because I have no idea what to expect out of the changes. I am sure I am not the only one.
Any comments and answers to unasked questions are welcome.
That is my dog Viski in the pic. He loves fog too.
