Exactly! They should focus on the 99%, not the 1%. Right now almost everything is decided by money, not quality of content.
The best example is that posts with 300 votes that make $0.20 aren't ever shown in hot or trending, while posts that are either made by or voted on by whales with 70 votes make $300 and are all over the trending page (and is often mediocre content).

It's a little hard to have trust in the developers, which are the very people that have million dollar accounts on here. Do you really think they want to give away more than a few %? I don't think so.
In my opinion there should be a better use for STEEM POWER, or algorithm optimizations so that you actually have to prove first that you are worth that power. Right now you can just deposit a billion dollar to rule (and effectively destroy) the whole network.

the hardfork is happening on the 22nd of this month. Just be patient yo.. from what I heard, the inflation from the proof of stake was really bad in the beginning, but they fixed it pretty well.. they will just keep making this place better and better!
