Well.. That Certainly Makes Up For HF18

As you all know, many of us lost our potential payouts after the implementation of HF18. I lost around 50 dollars on the day, and I have to say it did bother me a little. It wasn't that I felt the money was owed to me, but rather that I was disappointed in the lack of communication between the dev team and the community.

However much I may have disliked the way HF18 was handled, HF19 has more than made up for it.

Not only have seen an increase in my potential payouts that greatly exceeds that of the losses I endured at HF18, but my upvote is now worth an astonishing $1.60, where as before it was $0.05...

I'm very excited about things, and I can feel that this hard fork is going to result in the largest influx of new users to date. Also, with the linear rewards curve, there is an added incentive to power up or buy STEEM so that you can feel the satisfaction of rewarding others with amounts they can actually benefit from.

Never before have I considered $20 STEEM a real possibility. But, with all these YouTube stars emigrating to Steemit, and with more and more improvements coming to the way things are done here, I no longer think $100 STEEM is impossible.

STEEM the fuck on, people!

I was going a little nuts with the voting when I got on...found out that voting power is decreasing at the same rate our votes have increased, haha, going to have to be a tiny bit more careful, particularly in my comment upvotes. Which, by the way, are worth ten bucks even at 80% power. Reply with something good and I may show you....lol!

something good

Mine was giving 1.60 earlier and now it's down to 1.40, so you're right. I'm still very fucking happy though.

Smart ass! I said may....okay fine, lol.

I'm ecstatic. My full vote alone is enough to make people smile now! My brother is joining, finally, in fact he's got two posts made and now he's just being a perfectionist about it--like a couple other people I know-cough Howie, cough Scott--by the way, what do you know about the waiting period people seem to be undergoing now?
I fully expect you to be one of those in the welcome wagon ;)

I am loving hard fork 19, never want it to end lol :)

Indeed. If HF20 can be as major an improvement also, then I'd say we're just about ready for the masses.

I hope they don't start turning things back, I am enjoying this hardfork lol :)

So if you get paid more money, it's good, if you lose money, it's bad. Not bothered by the lack of communication let you know you are making more money? ;)

Just giving you a hard time.

Actually, the communication this time around was excellent. I knew what to expect, I just didn't know to what extent an impact was going to be made. I'm very happy with the results though, yes.

Carpe diem!

Think I found out why I don't have that sliding scale you were talking about. Apparently you need to have an account value of over $500!

Scooby doo, where are you?
Hm, alcohol and steemit, have I not learned my lesson...
If you land on this comment go to chat and directly to chat, do not pass go and collect two hundred dollars. Speaking of, you are so missing out by not posting right now.

Lol. Only just seeing this, but as you now should know, steemitchat wasn't loading anyway. I am well aware that I have probably missed out on at least a few 1000 by being inactive during this auspicious time. However, money is not what I am searching for at the moment, so I am quite happy to let others enjoy what would have been my share of the rewards.

Did it work? (Paul not you Scooby doo lol)

Thank you for this post I am very new to the community and this excites me. Could I ask what HF18 is please??

A HF is a hard fork. Essentially, an upgrade to the code. The 18 simply means that it is the 18th upgrade to the code since Steemit went live.

I hope this helps.
