Life on Steemit after HardFork 20

in hf20 •  6 years ago  (edited)

Hardfork 20 has been an anticipated event that so many steemian is waiting for. It is like the go-to place, the promised land, a better home for me and you.

since Hardfork 19, the number of steemian has risen, so lots of steemian out there including myself are harkfork virgins.

So many of us had heard lots of good things that come after Hardfork, so we wait patiently, keep on track of all witness blog, keep on checking with other steemian on discord if they heard any news, and most importantly, kept knocking on the refresh button, to see what changes will happen.

The wait was like forever, i may sound ridiculous but in all honesty, there was so much ridiculousness out there during these epic moment of history. We were so excited, it is going to be legendary.

Then finally the time arrived, all of us received news that HF20 just went live, the message was something like these;

Soon enough, we received updates from @steemitblog , here is the link and the latest updates as per following link

What we all learn after hardfork 20 is that there was not many people that is able to access or perhaps better choice of word is use their steemit account. There was also issue regarding voting power and ultimately, as much as it is claimed successful and as much as we hope it was successful, the spirit was a bit low due to some unexpected circumstances after hardfork 20.

here is an example of the before and after hardfork on my post, see the difference in amount of voting perhaps due to the amount of steemian that couldn't used their account.

Before Hardfork20

After Hardfork20

@mattockfs did an interesting post too about Transacting users before HF20 vs after and the result was WOW, the amount of user drop like flies, Hardfork20 is like an Insecticide Aerosol.

It is said, that it may take a week or so for everything to resume to business as usual. As i am writing, i also learn that everything is indeed slowly getting back in order.

One thing for sure, the Hardfork 20 is needed, it allow Steem Blockchain to be much sustainable and scalable, there is so much good for the future of steem blockchain with this Hardfork. So hang tight folks. It is also important to give credit to all the witneess and steemit inc for all the hardwork to get things going and pushing it all through. Congratulation to all of you.

As for my experience being a steem Hardfork virgin, the experience was not as how i was hoping for, the anticipation was a big deal, but it is like playtime without orgasm. Damnnn.

It is quite disappointing, but i am still hoping to get some awesome surprises. finger cross.

the 20.4 update just kicked in. barely anybody could do anything before they finally decided to increase the rc budget by 10x. what a shameful start.

but anyways if it works, things should be back to normal as early as today, or at least within a few more days :)

yeah. it seems everything has turned to normal as of today , cheers for dropping a few word here. one thing for sure i am happy that this hardfork happen , its a process for growing greater on steem blockchain.

i'm worried that it's gonna make A LOT OF minnows to leave. but in the long term, if steemit inc gets their shit straight, it could work out quite nicely. we'll just have to wait and see! 😃

yeah, thats a concern too, its a make or break moment. i honestly think in the future, people wouldnt talk about steemit, everyone will talk about steem blokchain dapps , example partiko. etc whichever thrive. there is so much cool steem dapps out there, and i am sure a lots better one is underway. but i agree with you, right now its a wait and see situation, finger cross everything gets better and more will join the bandwagon.

oh yes. in fact, i think extreme decentralization from steemit AND steemit inc is necessary for this blockchain to hit mainstream 😌

they've done a good job so far. they just need to be humble enough to let go of control and be a facilitator, not a dictator.

and then one killer app, dapp, webpage, etc is gonna put it on the map. hopefully 😁
