Dear @stellabelle, thank you to be the voice of who is in forced silence due to this shit HF20. I was in this condition for 5 days and my tought was to leave Steemit asap, but now i am cool down due to i am again able to post, but this not means i will approve if this platform want to be exclusive radical chic platform, i think this is a people platform and we need to keep it as the main right here. I would be very proud to see your post in our @steem-bounty family, where all are at the same level, doesn't matter how much power you have, just who you are...

I still dont get why everyone cant be freaking calm about all this.

The last hardfork which had minnows rewards double , some by x3 had everyone jubilating for a week.

Yes, things happen, its not cool, but for people to start carrying pitch forks and communities worldwide saying stuffs when they dont understand the system is uncalled for.

Its not like its easy creating something like this without prior knowledge. so many clamored for HF20, now its here, all of a sudden, more testing should have been done?

Its hypocritical to say the least.

Stella, Ill say lets just chill a bit, a mass exodus of minnow and redfishes does nothing , more ppl will come still.

Also, @yonilkar may be a special case, cause i have ppl in my community with 15-20 SP being able to comment up to 3 times per day without the patch and hopefully x10 that woth the patch.

RC and Mana seem to regenerate 20% per day.

Were in day 2 so 4 more days to go.

The reason people shouldn't be calm about this is because the developers made a big mess.

We told them they should wait because it was too close after the huge fiasco about broken server code.
I told them that they had their calculations off by an order of magnitude. They are changing everyone's mana to x10. It also looks like the seriously lowered the mana costs.

This was obvious to me the first day.
It should have been obvious to them the first minute.

If it was me, the first minute after getting a server back on-line would be to make a post, "oh-shit we screwed up, and it will take some time to fix."
Further, if it was me, i would have implemented this in two stages. Stage one, start calculating mana. Stage two, start using mana to limit accounts.
Lastly, they implemented this without telling anyone. No one knew what mana was. No one knew what RC costs were. No one knew what to expect.

That no one knew what to expect, in my opinion, is the only reason we didn't storm the building and throw out the developers.

They really messed up, and really messed up badly. Then they told everyone that it was all ok. It is not. It is still not. But, at least the little accounts can vote now.

Can't wait for the fiasco that will happen next time a witness has to replay. NOT.

These kinds of errors are the kinds that destroy businesses. They assume people will forget, that’s a very dangerous assumption and yes its sociopathic too. People remember these kinds of fucks ups. It’s not 2016.

Well tge steemit team has a nasty reputation of lacking a lot when it comes to communications.

Im still chucking tha up to inexperience.

Whatever happens still, it would be for the better, the next big blockchain social media is already learning the mistakes and implementing solutions...

@stellabelle I feel it’s important to keep an open mind during these moments of adversity. Steemit Inc is doing what they can to resolve these issues as they were unforeseen and come with the territory of a decentralized system that is not even 3 years old. Right now it’s too early to make any assumptions on how the new RC system will work because it’s not in full swing yet. Let’s wait until the dust settles on the continuity issue as these types of posts do not help minnows or plankton feel any better about the situation.

Look it doesn’t help to mask the real experience people are having. Without a full and complete understanding of the experience we can’t create good solutions. Everyone has a fundamental right to express their real feelings and thoughts. Trying to suppress the truth is not recommended. First phase is to understand each other without trying to dampen ones honest experience.

This is completely at odds with Partiko’s Leaderboard which rewards active users who comment an upvote on others posts. It rewards people who are active. We earn points in Partiko that we exchange for upvotes. It’s now completely incompatible

Hardfork coming with hardtime. This is not cool. A lot has changed around here and it is not getting funny. Now i am even scared to upvote my own posts because i don't want to be sent to 20% in my voting strength like the last time. Let's see if anything changes over time. why STEEM isn't listed in more exchanges? control?
why is it so hard to even know how to withdraw steem unless you use blocktrades? control?

I'm so glad we're on the same page. What frustrates me most is not that there's a problem, but that the people in charge have responded defensively instead of either offering reassuring guidance that gives us a sense of what we can expect (e.g. "a new user account will be able to make 50 comments a day at a minimum, we expect this to be true in a few days, and if it is not, we will problem solve until this is true") or apologies and desperate attempts to improve the situation. They should share our frustration. If they don't, then they don't understand.

Large stakeholders misunderstand stakeholder feelings. They think because they own more that the success of the thing matters more to them. But this isn't true. Impoverished people have the most to gain or lose by the success or failure of this income source. 2000 dollars becoming 20000 can have a much larger impact on their daily lives than whether @ned has $3mil or $30mil on his life. Just like the difference between 5 and 50 comments is so much bigger than the difference between 500 and 5000 comments.

It's interesting to 'pick a face' and see how that account is doing. I have two of those too that I watch and want to see being able to get back to what they were doing 'before'. It is however not too long ago I had to delegate 30 SP to a few accounts to keep them from getting Bandwidth errors and they are now Minnows :-) So I'll wait a few more days before I cast my final judgement :-)

I am sure they will solve that. Everyone has the right to comment. If someone wants to do 1000 comments a day he/she should have the right to do it, no matter of their SP.

I think steemit.inc benefits more if there are more activity, so I am sure they will solve it somehow.

84,680,848,701 current RC mana max.

However, they changed the amount of mana it cost to post, vote and comment.

I think he can comment 5-10 times a day currently.

The new patch did a wonder...ocernight my RC moved to 100 % . last 30 min I am replying to all my comments..and RC is not exhaudting....hope now things are settling

Thanks for supporting newcomers and people with low power. But I think they all have to understand that we don't have to power down and take off everything from steem, everyone should do something for steem to keep growing here. I'm the creator of the community @dcooperation and I collaborate with everyone and care also about the newcomers, we have to support them and show them the right way. But now I see that everyone almost is able to comment.

I know I'm just trying to give us hope - it's alarming indeed but they is nothing we could do-its already into being - i wish we could have a poll to vote on the next features to be added on steem/steemit, where every holder has 1steem/1vote and say on Any features - we need a coinocracy on steemit cause we all are stake holders.

Members from @team-cn are all depressed right now. Most of them are newbies so they lose the ability to interact with others.
They feel awful when they see something they want to comment but they can't right now.
I tried to calm them down to wait 2,3 days. If the things are the same after 2,3 days, I don't think these newbies will stay. @team-cn will be gone also if no newbies are going to stay.

I'd been mostly inactive for a few months, so HF20 was essentially complete news to me. Last week, I was assuming I'd just have to write off my account and participation- it's not as though it counted for much anyway, and I can always catch the music I appreciate other places. But at least I can comment this week, my constant exercise in patience with my students pays off in the end...
