Hibiscus rosasinensis (Hibiscus rosasinensis) is a flowering plant throughout the year in the genus Hibiscus which is often planted as a decorative tree.
Hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia. After achieving independence, the Ministry of Agriculture has been instructed to recommend the appropriate flower to be chosen as a national flower. At the end of 1958, the Ministry of Agriculture proposed seven types of flowers to be selected as the National Flower of the Federation of Malaya, namely Bunga Kenanga, Bunga Bunga, Bunga Bunga, Teratai Bunga, Bunga Bunga, Cempaka Bunga and Tanjung Bunga. After discussion on July 28, 1960, Bunga Raya was declared the National Flower of the Federation of Malaya.
