High blood pressure - where it comes from? The answer will be surprising

A Question which is discussed a lot in the world of medicine. If we take a look into the academic medicine, there's no real reason published for high blood pressure. Of course, if they would release THE reason, everyone could healthy from now on and many drugs wouldn't be necessary. And as a result, the big pharma will lose money longterm.

But let's go back to the real topic here! Where does high blood pressure comes from? In my opinion it's a very obvious reason.

It's salt - the white poisen. If we take a look at the recommended daily dose of salt intake, we end up at maximum three grams a day. Most of you probably think now that three grams are plenty and it must be very hard to go above, but it's not.

If you're used to eat much processed food you will wonder how much salt you get every day, many many years.

That's why I calculated this for the common junk food in Germany. I live there and it's very hard to see how much shit everyone is eating day per day.

Salt amount per 100 grams

  • Pizza: 0,598 g
  • Meatballs: 0,22 g
  • Sausage: 0,848 g
  • Bread roll: 0,461 g

Sample day of an average german:

Breakfast:

  • 2 bread rolls (= 100 g) = 0,46 g
  • 2 slices of ham (= 25 g) = 0,30 g

Dinner:

  • 1 Pizza (= 350 g) = 2,1 g

Evening meal:

  • 2 bread rolls (= 100g) = 0,46 g
  • 2 slices of cheese (=25 g) = 0,15 g

3,47 g per day

This daily routine of junk food or processed food is enormous, but it's even more than I just mentioned because I didn't calculate butter on the bread roll, no eggs with extra salt on it, and so on. The result could be twice high!

Now we see there is a very high income every day if you used to eat processed food. If you do this nearly every day, it's not surprising if you get high blood pressure when you become older and older. It's just a normal reaction of your body and your vascular system.

But now is the question, where is the blood pressure itself comes from. It's a process which take place in the kidneys. Better known as the RAAS-System. There is an hormone called antidiuretic hormone, which causes an increase of the blood pressure. The short version is called ADH. The function of ADH is very simple. ADH takes back a lot of water from the primary urine. This function causes a raise of the blood pressure.

Okay, now we know where the blood pressure comes from. But is there a correlation between ADH and salt? Of course there is!
ADH is produced in the hypothalamus. There are different neurons which produces the ADH. Salt changes the chemical structure of these neurons longterm and more ADH will be produced. And if there is more ADH, there is always a increase of the blood pressure. This status becomes chronic longterm and the high blood pressure as a disease is born!

Simply thing you can do know if you have high blood pressure. Reduce the processed food, don't take salt to get a better taste and drink more water over the day. Try it one or two months and your blood pressure will be reduced!
