Not certain how the data was collected so I am not saying that we know this to be a representative sample. But I do know that much of the comparison between political actors on tolerance is distorted because the type of questions are not properly contextualized to capture liberal intolerance and this one is.
And the differences between conservatives and liberals are so large in this survey that it is hard to believe that the data is so distorted that this finding would not hold up to some degree in a representative sample.
One final observation is that as educational institutions become more progressive that progressive students become more politically illiberal. That is to be expected since as a group gains more political power it becomes more tempting for them to misuse that power.
