Queen of Rap or Queen of Nada

The hiphop/rap culture has been quite competitive this past decade. With only a few artist able to remain relevant or stay afloat, while others scratch the surface and slowly fade of the earth. One of these artist is female Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.

Iggy as she is popularly called is or was a female hiphop artist, who in her early 20s burst onto our TV screens in 2014 with her billboard topping track 'Fancy' which shot her straight to no.1 spot on the Billboard chart. Although her career began in 2011, 'Fancy' was the song which projected her to the world and gave her recognition and stardom status.

She brought something new to the music industry, added a new dimension to the hiphop world and competition to female rappers such as Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj which Starred a 'beef' as it is called in the hiphop world.

Iggy has also had acting added to her vast resumé of accolades in the popular Fast and Furious franchise, Furious 7 in a cameo appearance and has been nominated for numerous major music awards, making her the most nominated female artist in 2014. You could call it the "year of IGGY".

But as the years past Iggy has failed to live up to expectation and is still yet to top her 2014 performance and bring back the level of competition she did in 2014, therefore leaving her rival Nicki Minaj as the Queen of Rap while she (Iggy) remains the Queen of Nada as she continues to fade off.
