On a fateful Sunday morning, I woke up to see the early sunset. At around 5:30am I went into the bathroom to perform my ablution in order to perform my solat to my almighty Allah around 6:30am I set up my journey with my family to Auchi, in Edo state an East part in Nigeria. We were going for a wedding ceremony, The journey was so nice until when we arrive at a spot, our tyre develop some fault, We had to call for our mechanic because we are not very far from our home. He came early and sorts out the problem but before he could finish up the time was around 12:30pm. we embarked on our journey again; we loud up the song we were playing and we were really enjoying the journey so well.

We stopped at different car park to buy things to eat before embarking on our journey. At around 4pm we got into Edo state, My first time reaching there I was so happy, I saw different things, The market was rosy, they were lots of people by the road side, people were chattering and selling different types of goods. On my first experience to that area I saw beautiful girls in the area, Edo girls are pretty to me and they are so endowed. We preceded our journey to the capital of the state “Benin”. The car was so fast like a cheetah; we were over speeding as I can view it from the car dashboard.
At around 7:00pm we were on the way to Auchi, a one lane way, There was no oncoming vehicles so we were so fast in the Journey, there was a bus at our front so fast than we thought, All of my thinking was that the bus was heading to Auchi. Unfortunately, as we were over speeding, the car just suddenly stopped and my dad step his leg on the tootle, but the car doesn’t move.

Alas, my dad shouted, Arrgh! The car does not move again, my mum was so afraid, I was pressing my phone, I quickly put in my pocket and my dad told me to put the IPod under the car seat because we were at the middle of the bush. Running, waving at vehicles to help us but no one stopped for us. My parents were calling the people we were going to meet, They asked where we are, but we were not able to answer because we did not know the place.

Fortunately, A car stopped and we told him to please tow us to Auchi and he said he couldn’t that he can just carry us. Are we going to leave the car there? What will actually happen to it overnight?. That was the questions on my lips. We told him we can’t leave the car at that spot so he zoomed off. We stopped a police van, they zoom off also. We were still there waving at cars to help us. Luckily , A car stopped we quickly ran to meet it and we asked him where we are, He told us Ehor, So we begged him to tow us to Auchi, He said he can’t because Auchi is two hours journey from there. He decided to tow us to a city which we were very grateful. The tow began, so he was telling us that the spot we were is very dangerous because that is the spot kidnappers do lynch on their victims. We thanked him once again for his help, He said why he stopped for us was because he saw my mum on hijab and he was a Muslim so he had to help us been a Muslim to save his Muslim mates. We got to the city and he proceeded to Auchi, We slept at that place inside the car.

If my mum was not putting on hijab or had it been she was putting on a small skirt and braless top would he have helped us?. So please my sisters in Islam Endeavour to always put on your hijab because it helps a lot. May Almighty Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah.
