Diwali (Deepavali or Deepawali or Dipawali) is one of the India's greatest celebrations. Diwali implies columns of lit lights. It is a celebration of lights and each Indian commends it with bliss. Amid this celebration, individuals illuminate their homes and shops. They love Lord Ganesha for good welfare and flourishing and Goddess Lakshmi for riches and shrewdness.

Deepawali is an official occasion in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, Fiji, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and school occasion in many conditions of US with critical Hindu populace.

This celebration is commended in the Hindu month of Kartika which falls at some point amid October or November. It is commended to stamp the arrival of Lord Rama from 14 years of Exile and his triumph over the Demon Ravana. In many parts of India, Diwali is praised for five continuous days and is a standout amongst the most mainstream celebrations in India. Hindus view it as a festival of life and utilize the event to reinforce family and connections. In a few sections of India, it denotes the start of the new year.
