So healing comes in many different forms. Pain is there to tell us we need to change something. I started getting hip pain while sleeping on my side, enough to wake me up and be a pain. Hip would also bother during the day. Stopped my exercise routine which was only a 10 minute gig in the morning consisting of some aerobics, sprinting on the spot and stretching. (Repetitive movements like what I was doing are not good for the body.) Got a chiropractor do do some active release, and the pain moved from the hip into the groin and made my whole groin area achy and weak. Got some active release for the groin but no improvement.
Decided to start taking house dance lessons and a bit of hip hop at a local adult dance studio and found a few videos online, and within a month hip and groin pain resolved. The different movements in dance strengthened the muscles that needed strengthening and loosened the muscles that needed loosening. Plus learning something new and fun. Change is good, go with the flow...
Not saying it will work for everyone as everyone is different, but you never know where you'll find healing.
Here is one of my favorite online lessons by Les Mills Dance, be prepared to rewind a few (or many ) times :)
