Ahsan Manzil is located on the banks of Buriganga river in Kumartuli area of Islampur, Old Dhaka. Ahsan Manzil was the official residential palace and seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. Its founder was Nawab Abdul Ghani. He named it after his son Khwaja Ahsanullah. Currently it is being used as a museum. Construction was started in 1859 and was completed in 1872.It was decided to establish the Muslim League in a meeting held here in 1906.

Ahsan Manzil has been renovated several times. The last renovation was done very recently. Now It was constructed in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. It has been designated as a national museum.

History of (Pink Palace):
The architecture of Ahsan Manzil is a blend of Indo-Saracenic and European styles. The palace is particularly known for its pink color, which is why it's often referred to as the Pink Palace. The pink hue of the palace gives it a distinct and unique appearance.

Ahsan Manzil has played a significant role in the history of Bangladesh. It was the residence of the Nawabs and later served as the official residence of the British colonial administration. After the creation of Pakistan in 1947, it became the residence of the Pakistani governor. After Bangladesh gained independence in 1971, Ahsan Manzil became a museum.

Now a days, Ahsan Manzil is a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Dhaka's rich history and cultural heritage. The surrounding areas, including the riverfront, also contribute to the scenic beauty of Ahsan Manzil.

Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace) Schedule:
Ahsan Manzil is open for visitors on these five days from Saturday to Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Ahsan Manzil can be visited every Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm. Ahsan Manzil Museum is completely closed on every Thursday and other public holidays.

How To Go (Pink Palace):
