Old Japanese emperor's residence in Kyoto had a special alarm. All of her secret - the floor.

Wooden floor tables were reinforced with special staples that are walking spreading bird trill-like sound. Therefore, the floor referred to as Nightingale floor.

It was a kind of prevention of unsolicited, to the emperor's life or his relatives might attempt overnight guests.
