We are currently staying in an amazingly cute renovated rail station in Yorkshire, England.
The line ran between Scarborough and Pickering but use declined due to the motor car and it was closed in 1950.
This is it in 1910
And this is the restored station today, 4 self catering holiday cottages.
I just love the feeling that I'm sitting In a part of history and it's still in use and important, not left to rot away like so many old buildings.
If these walls could talk, what would they say?

This is amazing! What a fun place to stay. I've always thought it would be fun to renovate an old train station as a home. I'm so glad they took the time to restore this building and give it a modern day use so it could continue to be enjoyed
