I think that everyone knows that during the war, intelligence is one of the most important activities. Without reconnaissance data, no offensive starts or bombings are made.
And aerial photography during reconnaissance - very much later helped to determine the main targets for bombing.
I bring to your attention the German reconnaissance aerial photography of several large cities of the USSR. Almost everything was filmed in 1941 by planes - scouts of the Wehrmacht. Basically everywhere, city centers.
