Dorie Miller found out who he was, and America is better for it. One of many heroes of Pearl Harbor, but his story is special. They presented him in the movie, Pearl Harbor, but too briefly.
If there is a Black Panther in the movies, there ought to be a Dorie Miller. He was REAL. He showed an uncertain America that a black man can be the best that a man CAN be... can be counted on... can make us all proud...
The Pearl Harbor story is huge, of course, and many many people made the ultimate sacrifice. But somehow I feel the Dorie Miller story is not widely known, and ought to be.
