James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born in Seattle, Washington, USA, November 27, 1942 - died in London, England, September 18, 1970 at the age of 27) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, guitarist and cultural figure. He is often referred to as one of the most influential electric guitar players in the history of rock music.
