Cut Mutia's residence house is one of the cultural heritage residences in North Aceh Regency which was renovated by the Aceh government in 1982.
This house has a unique style and characteristics of the Acehnese people, in general the Acehnese houses are made of wood selected from Semantok wood, this wood is very hard and resistant to termites, weathering, age so that quality is guaranteed and this wood is in great demand by the people of Aceh to build with the type of wood that is main quality.
The Cut Mutia house consists of round poles with a diameter of 80 cm with a height of 2.5 m, a stilt-shaped house with a philosophical avoidance of various threats such as floods, wild animals and so on. And people can do their activities such as weaving, and making mats.
Cut Meutia is a woman who became an Indonesian National Hero from Aceh. Cut Meutia also risked his life to repel the Dutch invaders. In fact, since childhood, he has been educated to understand religion and swordsmanship. During his lifetime, Cut Meutia was known as a battle strategist. His tactics often ravaged the Dutch military defenses. One of the tactics he has used is attack and retreat tactics, as well as using soldiers to spy on the movements of opposing troops. Although he was persuaded to surrender, Cut Meutia still chose to fight.
