The Sultan Ahmad Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, is located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmed I, who ruled from 1603 to 1617. The construction of the mosque began in 1609 and was completed in 1616. It was designed by the architect Sedefkar Mehmed Agha, who was a student of the famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. The Sultan Ahmad Mosque is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of Ottoman architecture and is a popular tourist attraction in Istanbul.
