Georges Charles Dantes (February 5, 1812 - November 2, 1895). French monarchist, officer-cavalry officer. In the 1830s he served in Russia in a cavalry regiment. Known primarily as a man who fatally wounded in the duel of Alexander Pushkin. After the duel he was deprived of his rank and expelled from Russia. Subsequently, engaged in politics, was a lifelong senator of the Second Empire.
