Maharaja palace in mysore

Famous by the of MAHARAJA PALACE , mysore palace is an amazing combination of hindu and muslim architecture. It is historical palace in the city of Mysore in Karnatka , southern india.

This palace in mysore was earlier build of sandalwood but in an accident this palace was completely destroyed.

And as you can see the palace was beautifully rebuild.

The pink domes adds more beauty to the palace made up of grey granite marbles. Above central dome there is a sculpture of Gajalakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, prosperity and good luck. The palace has twelve hindu temples also including temples of lord shiva,vishnu and krishna.

The palace is now converted into a museum which has different royal equipments, paintings,jewellery and royal dresses etc

Main attraction :

The palace is illuminated with ninety seven thousand bulbs at night on Sundays and during the holiday season of Dasara. There is fort inside the which is covered by the arch made of gold. When the sun rays falls on it the area around shines brightly.

How to go?

You can reach banglore by bus train ot flight and from there oneshould proceed for mysore. So whwnever next time in mysore , plan to visit thi palace.
