Producers of the series cut costs in many ways in order to save money. Today, it's not unheard of for actors to wear several different outfits during a single episode. Nevertheless during The Adventures of Superman, the actors dressed in the same costume through the complete episode.

A primary reason The Adventures of Superman could get on the air in 1952 was thanks to a sponsorship by Kellogs. If the show aired, characters appeared in commercials for the food giant alongside each instance. However, Superman himself performed not appear in the commercials.

When you think of Superman, one of the first things that can come to mind is his iconic costume, a blue suit with a red "S" emblazoned on the front and a matching red cape. When the show was first filmed in black and white, the costume was anything but blue and red.

The town of Mayberry was obviously a make believe place that was your setting for the television set sitcoms The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry L. F. D. Well, through the first season, The Activities of Superman was shot at RKO-Pathe Studios (which would later turn into Desilu's studio) and on the RKO Pictures "Forty Acres" backlot.

"Panic in the Sky" Got Bloopers Galore
Since the Escapades of Superman was taken on a budget, manufacturers needed to save money in various ways. In "Panic in the Sky, inch you can hear the residents of Metropolis stomping over the sidewalks on particle board rather than concrete. By 1954, the show was shot in color, but credited to expense, the shows were broadcast in black color & white until the show's conclusion in 1958. In the 1960s, color TV became more legendary, and viewers finally found Superman in his famous red and blue halloween costume.

George Reeves Perished at Age 45: Was It Suicide or Tough?
The circumstances surrounding George Reeves' death are a lttle bit mysterious. On June sixteen, 1959, just one yr following the Adventures of Terme conseillé filmed what would become its final season, this individual was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in the bedroom of his home in Benedict Canyon. Government bodies ruled his death a suicide, several believed this individual had been murdered.
