howdy there delishtreats! haha! so good to hear back from you and sorry it took so long to reply but since I started the Engagement League I haven't been so far behind in commenting and things as I was today.

I did get a small post out showing a little of my glass. but hey, that's great to hear that you go to Prague often! The glass I like is from the 1920's and 30s predominately...before the Germans destroyed the place in 1939 I believe it was. So basically Art Deco style if you are familiar with that period. If not you should study it! lol. wonderful styling.

Thank you so much for that brief bio that you gave me, you've been around alot already for a kid! lol. And now in Switzerland..wow, are you in a big city? And how is living there compared to Prague?

Ok, I don't want to ask too many questions and my brain is fried, it's going on 2am here so this is my last comment of the day and it's a pleasant way to finish.

I'm so freaking far behind that I didn't get to your blog yet! sorry. but I will because I like you. Besides I'm curious because you said you didn't talk much about yourself in your posts!

That's like unheard of. Everyone talks about themselves all the time! lol.
So I want to know how you do that.

Thanks so much for your fine comment and God bless you!

Hahaha, nobody called me 'a kid' in a LONG time!! I will take it as a compliment :D Oh, and I didn't mention that I used to live in Belgium too! I might only look a bit younger than I actually am. Plus I've been away from home since I was 18.

There are no cities that I would call big in Switzerland :) But I live in Neuhausen am Rheinfall which is around 40 km from Zurich. The life is completely different. Switzerland has very different history and culture to Czech Republic. I might write a post about it one day :)

What I consider 'normal' is not 'normal' back home. Like for example a smiling waitress, nice person at the cashier and so on.. My brother always says: Oh, Martina, you're away for too long, hahaha..

I'm writing about my travel and vegan experience, not really about my personal life..no worries, when you'll make it to my blog one day you'll get to see it.

You should get to writing these comments then! Don't let anybody steal your first place again! :)

Have a nice day!

oh delishtreats! this is so interesting.. thanks for talking. you know how hard I have to work sometimes to get people to explain things about their situation? I guess I'm scary or something I don;t know. well I have been known to cause little kids to go screaming for their momies so maybe I am a little scary!

But you are saying that "a smiling waitress, nice person at the cashier" is unusual where? in Slovakia or in Switzerland? you're saying that in one of these countries people are not friendly?

NO! another Vegan? oh my gosh..that's a rarity in Texas! lol. we LOVE our BBQ beef and everything else.

So how is talking about your personal vegan walk not personal?
ok..I thought your blog was about baking! I thought that's what your username was referring to, delicious baked goods.

thanks so much for getting back. now I'm even more curious about your blog. lol.

I just want to get back to you quickly before I go to the airport to pick up my husband.. so, I was talking about Slovakia.. People are friendly BUT they are underpaid and their working conditions are not that ideal so they generally are not in the best mood in their workplace.. I might make a post about it so that you understand what I mean. Don't make any conclusions yet :)

Yes, I've been vegan for 1.5 years now! And I really love it! I was the biggest steak eater you can imagine. I could eat steak every day. But I made my choice and I don't miss it at all. This is maybe also for a separate post :)

Well, in my blog I'm not talking about my personal vegan walk but I'm rather reviewing the restaurants that I visit during my travel.

When I say that I don't talk about me in my blog I mean more like my private life - family, friends, my day to day activities and so on. I hope you understand what I mean now :)

Oh, my name on Steemit is a long story! To make it short it is supposed to represent my travel and vegan food around the world - hence delish treats. Treats don't necessarily need to be only food related (in my opinion) so this is how it started :)

I have to run now :) Will be back in a couple of hours!

whoa! now I feel really spoiled! how many comments did i get from the amazing delishtreats today? wow. would it be accurate to say that your countrymen are friendly but somewhat oppressed because of the working conditions and economy?

Why did you decide to become Vegan? I'm sure you explained it in your blog but I ain't got time to go find it at the moment.

but yes I understand about the not being personal thing. so your family, friends, daily activities will remain a mystery right?
I SO agree with that philosophy! So you can't answer what your husband was doing flying somewhere? lol.

I didn't count them but many my dear @janton! :) Yes, they are very friendly but as you said oppressed because of the working conditions.

That is a long story. Initially I had digestion issues for ages (I'm talking about years) and I couldn't figure out what it was. It was very bad. At the end I got tested on the dairy and I was diagnosed with intolerance. So I removed all the dairy products from my diet.. after a while my husband started to be interested in plant based diet and animal cruelty. One day we were sitting in restaurant eating meat and we didn't like it. It wasn't prepared very good and the taste and texture were horrible. So we thought, you know what? Let's give up meat as well. So we became vegan from one day to another. But for us it's now not only the food but also lifestyle - we don't buy leather products anymore, cosmetics tested on animals and so on. I love this lifestyle :)

Of course I can answer the question :) You know, I would not start talking about my family but if somebody asks I have no problem to answer! My husband was on a business trip in the Netherlands. He had there some meetings from Monday.

delishtreats! howdy to you this fine Friday! what does your husband do for a living?
as far as the vegan thing..it's such an individual adjustment for each person and you must be one who needs it and I'm happy that you have found what is best for you. But of course that won't stop me from teasing you about it okay? lol.

The only question I have is how do you get enough protein? I can understand the vegetarian diet but not the Vegan one, that's a little "foreign" to me! but I guess it fits you since you're such a foreigner! lol.

I feel bad for the Slovakian people in hard economic times though, that subject would make an interesting post perhaps but it might not be as uplifting as the vaunted delishtreats likes to post!

Oh, I can't tell you as his safety would be compromised, lol!

Even if I said it was not ok it wouldn't stop you from teasing me so I don't bother 😂

Beans, grains, nuts, seeds just to name a few..

so delishtreats..you of course did all the calculations and read up on the Vegan diet before you decided that it was a long-term solution for you? like determining how much protein you needed and what foods contained those proteins?
