The Diplomat Hotel
Story: It was built in 1913-1915 by the Dominicans,Before it is called the Dominican Vacation House or the Dominican Castle, where Priest and nuns use to go for vacation and some priest even choose this place as their retirement home, then one day during the Japanese invasion, they invade the Dominican Castle and killed everyone in it including children. After the war, they reconstruct the building and sold it it 1972 to Diplomat Hotel Inc. and the Gen. Manager was a faith healer named Antonio Agbawa, but unfortunately, Antonio got stroke and died so they had to closed the hotel and that was in 1984, and because of the large dept of this hotel to the development bank of the Philippines, this hotel was returned to the management of Malacanang, but since then it was abandoned for years until the earthquake in 1990, it became more damaged.
