in history •  8 years ago

Chrysler TV-8, was an American project during the decade of the 50,

Chrysler wanted to build a different tank to the traditional and the view is able to generate fear.

hence was born the Chrysler TV-8

but also his appearance that calls attention to its power source was nothing more than a power plant steam cycle of nuclear fission ,which was located at the rear of the.

some extra data:

  • He was capable of holding four crew, but could be manned by only two
  • his main weapon was a 90 mm cannon T208 with a hydraulic ram
  • Two 30 mm coaxial machine guns in the tower,
  • also he had another small caliber machine gun on the roof 50 which was controlled remotely
  • I was able to operate both on land and in water
  • turret could rotate 360 °

the project was abandoned because Chrysler failed to convince the US military.

TV-8 was canceled by Chrysler in 1956, of which only a prototype was manufactured

(Only prototype manufactured)

an unusual tank that had some notable benefit compared to traditional tanks traditional design

but without any sweat, one of the strangest tanks.
