The Medal is of Bronze.
The Obverse has a Lions head within Linden sprays.
Superimposed in the centre is a vertical Sword above a Scroll
with the words
“ZA CHRABROST” [For Gallantry]
The Reverse has, within Linden sprays the wording
“PRAVDA VITEZI 1939” [Truth Prevails]
The Medal is suspended on eight Linden leaves
in a “V” formation.
The ribbon is Royal Blue with White and Red edges,
and in the center, three White stripes holding
two Red stripes
