Great post. It's so true that "rioting" is perceived so differently depending on the cause and the color of the rioters' skin. If it's a football game, it's just a bunch of dumb guys; if it's a civil rights issue, then the scary black men are causing chaos and terrorizing our otherwise peaceful cities. You can still see those cliches playing out in the news all of the time, and the rhetoric should be so blatantly obvious to everyone, but it's not. It drives me absolutely crazy.
