A follow-up to last post of the Smith Longwood Estate.

The inside of Longwood Estate, run by Brookhaven Town, is very informal. The community has access for multiple functions.
Women clubs, Boy Scouts, etc.
Inside looking at main door.
Entrance room, when you first walk in main door.
Rooms on main floor of three story home.
There were at least 2 bedrooms on the main floor, each with their own fireplace.
The second floor had high ceiling, indicating a wealthy home owner.
Third floor
There was this big wooden box like object with pipes coming out of it on the 3rd floor. I could only assume it was used for holding water.
The lady working there let me have the run of the house. I only had a limited time since she had to close up early. She also was gracious enough to make me copies of the Smith family genealogy starting with col. William "Tangier" Smith.
Read more about the first "Smith" in America.
That looks like my kinda place to visit
