Barahir was born in the middle earth of Tolkien in the 400th year of the first age. Barahir, defended the gate of Sirion at the battle of Dagor Bragollach. Meanwhile, Barahir saw Felagund being surrounded by the Melkor army. Barahir helped Felagund with his few men. And Barahir saved Felagund. Felagund gave Barahir his ring and always said that he would help Barahir. After the war, Barahir returned to Dorthonion. Barahir's people had begun to leave Dorthonion. But Barahir stayed here and fought against Melkor. After these long battles, Barahir had only 12 people left. The end of Barahir went to a secret place and hid here. But one of Barahir's men was captured by Sauron. And he couldn't stand Sauron's tortures and told Barahir's whereabouts. Sauron attacked Barahir with a raid. And Barahir was killed in this attack.

Excellent post about this important character in the history of Middle-earth, key figure in the events that happened thanks to his actions. Let's not forget that Barahir's ring is the same ring that Aragorn carried, this ring was given to him when he was 20 years old by Elrond, who gave him the fragments of Narsil and Barahir's ring.

Aragorn always wore the ring, until he met Arwen and by oath of his love, he handed the ring to her.
