In addition, it is not uncommon for the misunderstanding, where people thought the same with the golden dome Mosque Masjid Al Point. Through writing below, will explain the difference.

There are traditions and beliefs among Muslims about the rocks that became the starting point of Prophet Muhammad do Ascension to heaven. This stone is in Jerusalem, Palestine. This stone really existed. He was in the area that is now known as: Mount Temple or the Temple Mount by Jews. Since the time of ' Umar, the area of Haram al Sharif is becoming Muslim territory. The existence of the gold-domed building that sits high and glittery gives pride to the Muslims. This matter was further adds to the sense of ownership of and reverence for the sacred territory that was once the first qibla of Muslims. Those who have ever visited or seen the inside of the mosque of the golden dome is certainly will see the uniqueness of the stone. The uniqueness of this is, in my opinion, and then bring up the stories and legends of rock that follows the Prophet wanted to fly to the sky.
Pictures of caves under the rocks that were in the mosque of the golden dome (Qubah Sakhra) in Jerusalem, Palestine.

The pictures above are photos of the inside of the mosque of the golden dome. The left shows a gateway into the entrance of a niche or a cave under a rock. The top of the rock can be seen in the hands of the gate. Underneath it looks there are prayers.

The right image shows the atmosphere inside the cave. Look there are stairs that connect the outer (left image) and the inside of the cave. There is ample room for a dozen people there. From the photos it looks that the roof of the cave mouth cave is quite high and wide. We can imagine if people sat down there and look upward, toward the mouth of the cave, then the stone into the roof of the cave seems to float in the air.

Here's what I think is a source of the story of the flying stone.
