the discovery of the flamethrower

in history •  7 years ago

A lot of modern technology that is new famous in the present, actually has existed since tens of years until thousands of years ago. One of which is the flamethrower.

Officially, a device like the current flamethrow gun called 'Flamethrower' was discovered by Richard Fielder in 1901. It was previously known that Flamethrower was used first in World War I.

This flamethrower may be used as a weapon and use combustible material derived from petroleum or petroleum. During World War II, the use of petroleum became widespread as a burning fuel for "fire bombs" which during World War II were used for the Vietnam War, also known as Napalm Bomb.

However, 1,300 years earlier, it turned out that Byzantine or Byzantine empires had used the unique arsenal of the time, and were very deadly. The weapon is now exactly like 'Flamethrower'.

But by that time, the Byzantine royal army usually wore these flame guns for the purpose of burning enemy ships. So hot and deadly, this weapon has a nickname as a 'water-burning' weapon, which is recognized today as the Greek Fire.
