A group of researchers, in cooperation with scientists from the Tel Aviv University of Israel, succeeded in finding important remains of the ancient Homo Sapiens in a cave in Israel.
"During the recent excavations at the cave of Meselia in Israel, the researchers were able to find part of the left upper jaw bone with a number of teeth belonging to the ancient Homo Sapiens," the Russian Vesti-Ro website confirmed.
The importance of this discovery is that the age of these bones and teeth is estimated at 177-194 thousand years, much older than the remnants found previously for this type of organisms in that region.
According to the information, "the excavation of the cave in question also led to the discovery of certain layers of carbon indicating that the ancient cave residents were using fire and stone tools characteristic of the same period of time as the bones found"
The name of the first man or the so-called "Homo Sapiens" and the associated archaeological fossils remained connected to the African continent for a long time, until some archaeological missions began to find traces of this man in different parts of the world.
