Little about where I come from

I was born in Africa. West Africa to be precisely. I was born in the country considered as the giant of Africa(Nigeria).
My country was name by Flora Shaw,the wife of Lord Lugard(first British Governor-General of colonial Nigeria).Nigeria meant Niger Area.
Nigeria consist of different ethnics and tribes
Before amalgamation in the year 1914,Nigeria was under regions.
After many years under colonial rule,Nigeria gain its freedom in the year 1960. Before this year,slave trade was introduce in my country by the colonial master.....
The 1966 Nigerian coup d'état on January 15, 1966, was the first military coup.
In the year 1999, we regain our country from the military till date.
I was born in Ogun State. My state anthem was in Yoruba because that was official language.
The capital city of Ogun State is Abeokuta(The Gateway State).
