One of the historical heritages found in the museum Mulawarman is the throne, as the seat of the king and the empress. The throne is made of wood, the holder and the backrest are lined with cotton and wrapped in yellow cloth. This throne was made in European style, the creator was a Dutchman named Vander Lube in 1935.
Mulawarman Museum was formerly the Keraton Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara which was founded in 1932 by the Dutch Government and handed Keraton (the royal palace) to Sultan Adji Muhammad Parikesit in 1935.
