Hello steemits. Today I gonna show and tell you about ancient sity Akko. The port city, known as Akka, Acre and Ptolemais. It is located at the northern bay of Haifa (or Mifratz-Haifa). This bay owes its existence to Mount Carmel. It's about 4,000 years old. The Canaanite city was located on a hill that identifies with Tell el-Fuhar (Tel-Akko), which is about 1 km from the bay and 1.8 km from the city. Ancient walls of the Old City, preserved to this day. During the Persian domination of VI. bc. e., the city began to expand to the west, occupying the peninsula and forming the Haifa Bay. Returning from the third missionary journey, the apostle Paul stopped for a day in Akko - Ptolemais (Acts 21:7).
