Raja Ampat tour is arguably very unique, because it has a history or legend of its own. The legend of Raja Ampat has emerged from the surrounding community and has several versions of the story passed down from generation to generation on the origin of Raja Ampat's own name. The one version of the legendary story of Raja Ampat that circulated in the life of the original community around is as follows.
In ancient times there was a couple living simple in Kabui Bay Kampung Wawiyai, the husband couple had a job as a forest encroacher, whose daily activities went to search for food. They are shoulder to shoulder through the forest to quickly get what they expect. Then on their way they reached the edge of the Waikeo River, and rested to unwind. During their rest they saw five eggs not far from resting. After that they approached and it turns out the eggs are eggs from the Dragon. Because the litter finds strange eggs, they wrap it in a noken (noken = bag) and below go home. After the egg house they found was stored in the room.
As time began to change and night began to arrive, the eggs they had stored in the room made a whisper, they were curious and tried to peer through the door of the room. After they saw the incident, how shocked the two couples, because they see the five eggs that hatch and tangible four boys and one woman. The five children were wearing soft clothes that indicated that they were descended from a King.
Until now, whoever names the children born from dragon eggs is unclear, but the community knows that each child was named as follows:
The name of Raja Raja Legal Legend
Betani who later became king of Salawati.
Dohar became King of Lilinta (Misool).
Mohamad became King of Waigama (Batanta).
War Being King in Waigeo.
Pintolee girl born from dragon egg above.
After growing up, the four boys became kings and ruled wisely. Meanwhile, the girl (Pintolee) one day was found pregnant and took out two eggs. Once identified by Pintolee's siblings, the eggs were placed in a shell, large in size (Bia's skin) and then washed away to an island called Numfor Island. and the other, did not hatch and turned into a stone which was later named Kapatnai. The stone was treated like a king by the people around, and given a room to sit and also put two stones as a sign of escort to the cemetery. Until now the surrounding community still respects the existence of the cemetery and become the object of worship.
