Help Needed: What is this used for???

This little vintage scissors belonged to my Grand Father. It has a quite interesting design.

The cutting edge is short and fat with a round shape. It also has a curved piece of metal screwed onto the blade, which looks adjustable as it has a small screw keeping it in place. (Or perhaps it is to remove it)

The handles are also at an angle and higher than the blade part of the scissors, when viewed from the side.

It has a name written on it: RICH A HERDER SOLINGEN and it is made in Germany!!

I need help in identifying this scissor's use, as it has quite a unique design.

I googled RICH A HERDER SOLINGEN and found that they were mainly manufactures of vintage knives. They also made scissors, but I just cannot find this exact scissor design. There are a couple of their vintage knives and scissors for sale on ebay, thus it seems that there is a market for these.

I hope you liked the post as much as I liked writing it and that you can shed some light on these scissors!!

I hope you have a wonderful day!!
