The Liberation Of Women Until These Days

The liberation of women is a constant struggle that we have lived through waves since the beginning of history and continues today.

The first wave started mainly by the clamor of groups of women in developed countries, due to the political, social and economic changes that arose during the "Second Industrial Revolution" in the 1870s, which caused a clear acceleration of the feminist movement in the last third of the nineteenth century.

In England forming a group they called for their liberation, at that time they had the audacity to protest against their discrimination within the suffrage, since they were not allowed to vote for their rulers, even so these being men. This movement quickly moved to the United States, calling them "Suffragettes."

Another important element was the incorporation of women into work during the First World War to replace the men who had yo go to the war, that event helped to promote the awareness of the feminine value within society and encouraged their demands of the right to suffrage. ! [image] ()! [image] ()
By 1920 the woman's mentality begins to metamorphose, thus changing her attitude too, the ultra feminine and submissive housewife adopts a more masculine style, she uses simpler clothes to work, some cut her hair, smoke, wear pants, practice men's sports, drive carsand travel independently.

The second feminist wave begins in 1960, with the rise of the hippie rebellion and the liberation of sexuality that openly encourages promiscuity and free love.

The main objectives that have been kept remain the same over time: the right to vote, the improvement of education, their job training, openness and acceptance within new employment horizons, gender equality in the family to avoid dependence on women and that she can have more control of their sexuality, among others. Although there are still many peoples and societies that do not approve these proposals, they are increasingly being promoted even by men who educate their children within the framework of the proposals.

However, on the other hand, the feminism of the 70s led women to a distortion of their identity which we still live today, in which a "struggle against their fertility" appears, stating that women must flee from "the trap of motherhood "if you want to conquer the professional field of the man, because for anybody it is a secret that women should flee from pregnancy, since this generates delays in the labor and professional; since pregnancy, in most cases, causes women to leave their studies, jobs and professions to take care of their health and prepare everything for the arrival of the baby, and once when they are born, take care of them, as well that many of them end up taking charge of their families and being housewives, causing women to see marriage and the family as a very distant goal if they want to achieve professionalism, and even more so when they have the right to freely decide their sexuality , and in turn causing them to feel isolated and lonely with the long term.

The positive of all this, is that society is taking more and more letters on the matter, valuing the great female intellect, including them in areas where they were previously rejected and promoting peace between both genders, in some cases seeing the man and the woman as equal beings and in other cases as different beings that complement each other. image
