"International Mother language Day' and the history behind it....

Today is "international Mother Language Day". Whole world celebrate it with respects and joy.

Pakistan wanted "urdu" as their national language but the majority of the people was bengali.
So East-Pakistani(bengali) protested about it. But Pakistan declared urdu as their national language.
As a result the day of 21 february 1952 Bangladeshi people movements on road on against Pakistani military for their mother language (Bangla).
On the crowed military started fire ..

Salam, Barkat, Rofiq, Jobbar were died and many more wounded as a result of firing.

In 1971, Bangladesh got Independent. From then Bengali celebrate 21st February as their mother language day with respect . This day also known as " shohid Dibosh".

This day is very important for Bangladesh..

From 2000 this day observed international mother language day world wide.
