In the late 60's, 1960s to be precise, a genre of music sprung up in the Caribbean (KINGSTON JAMAICA) called raggae. It has risen up to be a Jamaica emblem, and a genre of music which has spread to other parts of the world.

Up till date, raggae music is still in vogue and its a music genre used by almost every musicians in the world as a lil bit of it is kinda found in almost all songs.

Raggae music became an household kind of music because of the instrument and the way they are blended to give it a good vibe and feeling. Its flows have even gotten to some religions today.

Raggae music is one of the best export of Jamaica because anywhere and anytime raggae music is mention, the first point of reference is Jamaica.

Some instruments used in raggae music are
Bass/lead guitar, organ/paino, synthesizer, konga, drums etc.

Robert Nesta Marley known as Bob Marley was born 6th Feb 1945 in Jamaica is one icon of raggae music we can always mention anytime raggae music is mentioned.

His back up or group was known as the wailers. He does at the age of 36 due to skin cancer but his song remains evergreen. Songs like NO WOMAN NO CRY, SONG OF FREEDOM, JAMMING, AFRICA UNITE, ONE LOVE AMONG OTHERS.

He is a guitarist and has a strong vocal cord and his is also a songwriter and a live performer.

I love raggae music, I love reggaesteem and here is my little submission.

I love artists like Bob Marley, Gregory Isaac, Desmond Dekker, etc... :)

@sammiegold, For sure Reggae is representing Jamaica 🇯🇲 and in my opinion Bob Marley played great role to bring true light to this music.
